Health and Safety at Work Policy

Trigeant recognizes and accepts that, as an employer, it has moral and legal responsibilities to safeguard, as far as practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all its seafaring staff and of other persons while they are on board ship. It will also ensure that all reasonable and practical steps are taken to provide and maintain safe and healthy conditions in the work place and accommodation spaces. The Company accepts a similar responsibility regarding the design, construction and operation of all vessels, machinery and equipment.

In pursuance of this policy, the Company will ensure that where vessels, machinery, and equipment are used or where staff are concerned with the handling, storage or transport of articles or substance, safety requirements are met with the consequent avoidance of risks to health.

Similarly, to encourage compliance with the policy, the Company will provide training, instruction, information and supervision, where appropriate to employees at all levels.

The Company emphasizes to all employees their own obligations to take all responsible care for the safety of themselves and other people in the discharge of their duties while at work. Any act of irresponsibility will be disciplined as appropriate under the Company's disciplinary procedure.

Our many years of experience as asphalt suppliers and marine transporters have enabled us to recognize and meet our customers' continued growing needs for quality and dependable service and products. We pledge to monitor our performance as an ongoing activity and to strive for continuous improvement.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

It is the policy of Trigeant to maintain a drug and alcohol free environment on all managed vessels of the fleet. This is accomplished by adherence to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and Oil Company International Marine Forum (OCIMF) regulations. Drug free certificates are maintained for all fleet employees both on the vessels and in the shoreside office. Being unfit for work due to the use of drugs or alcohol is forbidden and is grounds for termination of employment.
